LAFAYETTE AVENUE IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NUMBER ONE;AND ALSO TO REPEAL ALL RESOLUTIONS AND

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CIRY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,ARKANSAS*,
SECTION I. That Ordinance number 362 creating West Lafayette Avenue Improvement
District Number One,passed and approved by The City Council of the -City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas,on October 6th,I9I6,be,and the same is.hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. That all reedlutiona and orders of the City Council pertaining to
said Improvement District be,and the same are,hereby repealed.
SECTION3. That aliordinances and parts of Ordinances,and all resolutions and
parts of resolutions in conflict ho##M## herwith be.and the,sO6�###,same are,hereby
repealed,and this ordinance shall take effect and be in foree,from and,after its passage

I desire submit herewith a report of
- Health "conditions -in the-C"ity--of Fayetteville -at --the present time.
The health of this City is very good at this time,no contagious or infectious diseases
prevailing -to any -alarming -extent. -In -the -spring and -early --summer there -Were -a few cases of-- ---
measles in the city. There were two cases of scarlet fever found in quick town., Both Foci
were promptly -quarantined- and. the--4isease. thereby __atamps d._out..--_-_ _ ___ _ _ . __ _ ----- _-_
Four cases of Typhoid fever have been reported to this office durin% the summer,I on
East-afayettev Avenue,I-on.West --Lafayettev# A_v_enue,I_on Fourth Street and I in Rose Hill
Addition, I venture the assertion that this is the smallest number of cases of this fever
that has- occured in the City in a great many years. The abeen'ce of this anual scourge is

probb ably attributable to the -Supt of the -Coater-Plant and --my own to have an -small -amount ofthe hypochlorite of lime mixed in the water as it leaves the pant at the river.
