The City Attorney ad3xessed the -council -asking for -more- specific - instructions in - - regard to to drwaing up Ordinances and forms of warrants to be issued,in construction of the
" proposed-"Filtera.tion'Plant, after -some discussion -by the Council and --Citizens.present. and,
members of the mater Commis sion, Aid Cornwell moved that the Mayor appoint a committee
consisting of a member df the -Council and a member of- -the water_Commission and the City
Attorney to go to Ft Smith to confer with the Banker relative to financing the proposed
Filteration Pla.nt,which- was -duly See, by -Aid Mass is,resulted _ in the following vote,Ayes Aid

ansas,to enter into a contract for the purchase of motor driven fire apparatus,
BE IT ORDAINED BYTHECOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLEyARKANSAS.
. Section One. That by passage of this ordinance the Board of Public Affairs of the
" City. of -Fay ette vi11e.,Arkeneas,is hereby authori4ed_to _enter -_into a..con.trac.t_for -the--
purchase of modern motor driven fire apparatus at a coat not to exceed the sum of

Health at a calad meeting,do hereby recommend the appointment of Jay Shelly as Sanitary
Police,for the city of Fayetteville,

your honoratle-body to make the two above appointments.
We have also organized the Health Board by electing Dr C.B.Paddock as chairman
