Minutes of previous meeting was read and approved.

The Commissioners of West Lafayette Avenue Improvement District No.I was present.and
handed in the following report Towit:
To THE COUNCIL OVTHE CITY OF PAYETTEV ILLE, ARKANSAS:

Avenue Improvement District Number One,of the City of Fayetteville,Arkaneas,hereby subid it
..-the following report,towii:-
We find that the total cost'of improving Ida Avenue,from the East side dof the inter
> section of Arkansas Avenue -to the West side of -Gregg Street;Gregg Street;from the South
side of the intersection_of Ida Avenue to the North side of the intersectionof Lafayette
..Avenue;L afayette.Avenue,from the.East side of _the in.teresection..of Gregg Streettothe
West side of the intersection of College Avenue; Rolston Street from the North side of the
intersection of Dickson Street to.the.-South side_of the_ intersection of .Lafayette Avenue;
St Charles Street from the North side of the intersection of Dickson Street to the South
side of the intersection ofLafayette Avenue ; Highland Avenue,from the -North side of the
intersection of Dickson Street to the South aide of the intersedtion'of Maple Street; and
-
Dickson Street,from the East side of the intersect::ion of Block Street to the West side of
- the -intersection of Willow -Street will be Eighteen Thousand Dollars, not- -including interest.
This sum to be raised by a tax placed on the real property within the district.
, Te further find the. total _assessed_valuation- of_ -all -real property within -the- district ii
Ninety nine Thousand One Hundred fifty Dollars; and that the Eighteen Thousand Dollars,to
i be assessed within the district is well within the .twenty per centum imposed by laws _
Wherefore,we respectfully request that the Council at once appoint three assessors to
the end that the contemplated improvement may be made with out delay.

Mr A.L.Trent was present and-addeeseed the council asking the City to cooperate with
him and fix up the streets in City Park,Whereupon•Ald Price moved that the Street Commit
.,ttee meet with Mr Trent and -go over -the g###### -matter with-him;which was duly'Sec by AY
Harding resulted in the following.vote Ayes Aid CornwellEason,Harding,Phillips,Price,

Aid Eason intrdduced the following resolution and moved its adoptionTowit:
BE IT RFSOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,ARKANSAS.
That T.L.11### Hart,F.P.Ha.11, J.C.White,three electors of the City of FayettevilT
Arka.neas,are hereby appointed to constitute a board of assessement of the benifits to be
'received by each lot or block,or other subdivision of land within West Lafayette Avenue
Improvement District Number One,of the City od Fayettevilt,Arkansas,by reason of the pro
posed improvement.

Whereae,the regular three mill levy for general street purposes paid on the real property
within said district as aforesaid exceeds-the sum of $200,00.and;
Whereas.it is the policy of the City of Fayetteville to aid in maintaining perament etre
constructed under the improvement district plan,and;
Whereas,the City of Fayetteville has assumed part'of the expense-of improveing streets -
in other improvement districts,
VOTHEEFEBEITRESLEDBYoYCOUNCOF E CITY FAYFT-TBVILLE,ARKANSAS:-
1. byOpassage resolution City of Fayetteville hereby
~ and in good faith agrees to-pay--to-the.orde'r_of the board of improvement of said improve
ment tistrict,each year for the lawful term of the bonds of said district,but in no case to
exceed4eight years', the sum. of Two Hundred -Dollars Said sum to be appropriated
from the General Street Fund,and to be paid each year,as stated above,beginning on July 30th..,----

Section 2. The said sum of $200.00_ each year -is -to be "exclusively used--for the sole- —
~ and only purpose by the board of improvement to repair and maintain the actual streets improv

Section 3. That this resohtion be in force end effect from and'after its passage
and approval; and all resolutions orpartsthereof in-conflict herewith be and -the some
are hereby repealed.

J.L.Davie Circuit Clerk to pay court costs in the snit of City of Fayetteville versus
--J-:L.Swigart -and- others- to--quit-_title,.which -was_ duly-Sec by Aid Harding resulted in the
folowing vote Ayes Alt Cornwell ,Eason ,Harding , Philips ,Price. Stephena,Nayes none,Absent and

Aid Cornwell moved that the clerk drew a warrant for the sum of-$25.00 payable to the
Mayor- as expense money for a trip to Opringtown for Five to go and look after the Gravel
to be used on West Lafayette Avenue-Improvement-District- number-One Streets.said- $I5.00 to --- be paid back to the city by said Iii## board of •improvement.whieh was duly Sec by Alt I
