REGULAR MEETING CITY COUNCIL HELD FEBUARY 2nd 1917.
Present Mayor,Clerk,P.ld Cornwell, Eason ,Hard ing,Phillips ,Price. Absent`Ald Stephens. -
The Minutes of the previous m### meetings was read and approved.
Ald Eason introduced an ordinance to reassess -the real prpoerty'•on West -Mountain Stre t
which vias read,whereupon Ald Phillips moved that the ruled be suspended and the ordinance be -
placed on its second reading,which was -duly -See by Ald'Price,resulted-in-the following vote
Ayes Ald Cornwell,Eason,Harding,Phillips.Prdee.Kayes none,Absent.and not voting Ald Stephens

Ald Harding moved that the o###########################h# rules be furthest suspended and

not voting Ald Stephene.Mayor declared the motion adopted.

WHEREAS, the ma.jor.ity -in' value- of the property ow##### -holders owning, property a.djoir,ing,
the locality to be effected and situated in West Mountain S###### Improvement District
.cumber-One,of the City od Fa.yettevAlle,Arkansaw-organized for the purpose of rolling,grading =,
and macadamizing ;Peet Mountain'Street from the Wast side of SWOW- Bl#ock Street to the '
'Nest -.side of ®.School Street,have_petetioned the council of the City,'of Fayetteville,
Arkanea.,:,for the construction of said Improvement and the coat thereof shall be assessed
µ upon -,the real.proper.ty of saidd#### district according to benifits received; and
t'Thereas, said benifits 'received by eael and--eveiy'block0lot-and parcel of real property - -
situated in said district equals or exceeds the local.assessement ther'eon;and
?Jkiereas,the estimated cost of said improvement was Eighteen Hundred•4Dollars- (1800.00).
whic was Three .hundred Eighty Six Dollars and thirty five cents $(386.35) less than the
actual cost -of -the improvement, thus ca.usinga-a-defifiency-of ThreeHundredEighty Six, Dolla e__

Januar 1917 reported the above mentioned defifiene to the Council ofict on the 5th day es
Whereas the -board -of improvement -of said improvement district districtof

--ed that reaesessement equal in 'amount to the defifiency be levied upon the real property
within said 'district as proabded by Section`5726 of Kirbys Digest; -and - -
:Nhereas,the board of assessement of said district has filed said reaasessement with the

1I THEREFORE IT IS NOW ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETtEVILLE,.ARKANSAS:
'Section I. That said several--blocks,lots and parcels -of -real property situated in said
district be assessed according to the assessemnt list for said improvement district as same
-noir--r.ermains in the --office of -the --Clerk of the City___of_FayettevilleQrkansas,and that One
Hundred (I00) per centum on each of said blocks,lotB and parcels shall be paid on or before
- _ _ the_ I5th- day of March , I9I7.
And said local reassessament shall -be a charge and -a lien against all real property
-in said district from the date of said ordinance,and shall be entitled to preference over
all,fudgements,execiitions, incumbranaeB-or c####### 1-iene-whence-ever created -,and -shall_
continue until such local reassessement,with any penalty and costs that may accrue thereon-`
,shall be paid;provided,as-between-g#### grantor and_grantee.all pa###### payments not due
