That the Board of.Improvement of 19ater Improvement -District Number One,is hereby•
authorized and directed to employ an engineer to prepare preliminary plans for a Filteratio
Plant in connection with the City_Water Plant,provided that -the City of•Fayettevilb shall -
not be'liable for the compensation of such engineer in excess of $I56.00 in the event the
contemplated improvemnets is not carried out.
