I&nd-'Aright-, absent, AT O N E _ «tXkJkX*XN__ Minutes of meeting held Nov. 7th,_ 1913 were read and approved_ ___-_A_petition praying the Counail to install a light on the corner of Putman and University $treets .was pr.e_sented,_ react_ and upon motion same wasereferred to the Light Committee for their ;;investigation _and_ Protests of D.B.Jobe, N.W.Ark. Lbr Co. Mrs. Isaac Taylor, Q.M.Bl.akk and the Stones, �Iwere presented,_ read _and _-upon motion the Council agreed to take_ the same_up at the next meeting night_ to_be held next _"4ednesday,_when final_ action would_be taken upon them. The follo^ring_r_eport from the Commissioners of Paving yistrict No. 1 was -presented _ 'and -read,. towit_:_—_ To the CityCouncil of the City of Fayetteville. We, your Commissioners of Paving District No. 1, beg to make the followin - -- report - ---- — --- --- First, we employed Mr. E.A.Kingsley, of Little Rock, Ark., as Engineer hgreeing to -- - -"'and cont:racting--wi-th-him-on-a-basi-s-of-4%-for-the-total-cost-of-the-paving. -- —T Second, we made a contract with the Kaw Paving Co., of Topeka, Kans., to pave the - -gid-istrict-with s.n-asphel.tic-conc.re.te-pavement,. _ _- Third, xRxmaduxaxxzxtaaatxmath the Engineer has estimated that the total cost of the paving_including_the entire width of all the streets in the District, curb and cuttering,__ _- drainage and corners, ri7.1 cost approximately�15,00.00, and suggest^ that an assessment be made of 20% on the total valuation within the district.
