In the event that the City Council shall pass ----` ordinance now pendinggranting-to-the Fayetteville Gas & -Electric -Cos ariya twenty- five year ,jfranchise, as set forth in said ordinance, and in the event said ordinance is accepted and -- "becomes effective, the Company -hereby agrees as - one-of-the-considerations--for-said-franchise - to furnish free of charge to the City Hospital of the City of Fayetteville, so long as it is - -- 4owned and operated by the City,--electric-current--sufficient to -supply the-needs-of-said-------- dHospital, except for heating -and cooking purposes with electric, stoves, during the life of said franchise, and agrees if -said -franchise ._is -accepted, -and becomes effective-, to -embody lin its acceptance of said franchise, a covenant to furnish said free current -as aforesaid which shall be binding upon its successors --and assigns.
