Sec 1. Thdt all�curb�s constructed in the C y -o£ Fayettevi]-le, Arkansas, shall.be construct d
in accordance with the following specifications
• Forms must--be-of well seasoned -2 inchiate-r.ial,.true.and_straight. They must be -set
true to line and grade and leave no appreciable s gs or budges in the •curb.
- �....._ -_ _The -base --shall - be composed of onepartf Portland_ cement; three parts of clean
sharp sand, and five parts rushed stone of size n t less than one•fourth-inch nor' -more than
ne.-inch.in greatest dimensions.
Concrete shall be throughly mixed dry; ben wetted and placed;.after throughly
tamping it shall be forced back from the face board to allow face mixture to be tamped into a
_
depth of -t-en inches:
1 The face mixture or topping shall be compo ed of one part Portland cement and two
- parts of clean,---sharp-sand, and-shal-1 be of a unifor thickness_of_three fourths inch on top
and face. -
_ After__surface mixture has been_ tamped well_ i shall be trowled to a smooth, even
surface. Sufficient water may be sprinkled from a sprink ing can to sufficiently wet this

Aldo Sour introduced the following resolution and moved its passage,_towit:
Be it resolved,by the Council of the.City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,
-That the propertyowners along South School Street from Mountain Street to the South
City Linits, and the property owners along Prairie Avenue from South School Street to the
Cemetery. Road be and--they-'-are hereby required to *build and- construe and inf rent of their
respective lots cement curb, set ten feet from the center of the street to the inside of said
curb, said curb-to,be.five.inches -wide and -fourteen• -inches -deep.- Said ..curb to__be_build in__ .
accordance with ordinances governing the construction of sane.
That notices be served upon all persons effected by the passage of this resolution at
'once. That this reeoliition be in force and effect from and after its passage and all resolutions
or pants thereof in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. "

Whereas, the majority in value of the property hvh3ers owning property adjoining the
locality to be affected and situated in School Street Improvement District No. One, organized_
for the purpose of paving Behoof Street from Mountain Street to the South city limits; and
Prairie Avenue from School Street to the Cemetery Road,have petitioned the council of the city of.

Fayetteville for -the- construction of said-improvement--and-that-the -cost-thereof shall be - - -- -
assessed upon the real property of said district according to benefits received, and J
- --- Whereas; --the--estimated cost of said improvement is O`A'460
Therefore, it is now ordafted by the City Council of the said City of Fayetteville,
�._Arkansas....that_said aeveral_blocks,, lots -and parcels -of _-real property_ in. said -district be
assessed according to the assessment list for said improvement district as the same now remains
in theyoffice of the City Clerk, and that 20 per centum on each of said blocks, lots and parcels, .
shall lie paid'anrivally-on-or before the 30th day of September, until -the whole of -said local `
assessment shall be paid.

said district from the date of said ordinance and shall be entitled to preference over all

shall be payable.by the grantee.
That this ordinance be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication
and all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
