Sour the " Board of Health Ordinance " was read the second. time and uponmotionof Aid._rrice, seconded by Aid. Sour same was referred to the Ordinance Committee and the City Attorney for certain_ amendments.__ -Aid. Price. introdu .ed_the_ foil. owing _re-solution _and _ moved _its _adoption ,-towit: !! That the Council ratify the_act_i_on of Mr.J*M.Phillips,_Chairman of the Street Committee in employing ;9.E.wallace to warn hands and collect the street tax and that he be instructed to continue the work, that the Chairmen of the Street Committee instruct Mr. Wallace to turn over al money collected -each week at the -end- of ever week to-tlie-Ci-ty-Treasurer-and- cYie-ck -up riis books w ;with the Eolice Judge". Which motion was duly seconded by Aid. Sour -and adopted by the following vote, "Ayes", Eason, Price,. Phillips,.Aour_and_7right, "Nays",none,_abeent and not voting_Aid, Aid. -Sour _introddeed_the following resolution and moved its passage, towit: !' Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas. That all persons ,.-- owning property along` South -School Street froraountin-Strest-to the South City Timits--and alT personslowning property along Prairie Avenue, from South School Street to Cemetery Street, be and -they -are hereby--required-to-construct along-and-i-n-f-ront-of--the i-r-respec-tive-- lot s,-cement. ---- curbs, composed of three Parts of clean sand, six parts of stone and one part Portland cement. Said -curb -to__be-_five--inches -wide-,_-and_four_teen-inches-_deep-,_-and-to.be_-set_ten feet_ from the center of the street, measuring from the center of the street to the inside of the curb. That this resolution be in force and effect from and after its passage and all resolutio or narts thereof in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. I The Commissioner of School Street Improvement -District submitted the following report: " To the Hon, Mayor-_andCity Council of the City_ of_Payet_teville, Arkansas, we, the undersigned, membersj,of the Board of Improvement of School Street Improvement District Number One, of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, beg to submit the following report: We find that -there are--8040-1-inel feet on School--Street-and 900 -feet -on -Prairie Avenue, embraced in said District, that the total assessed value of the property in said district is 570oo�said di' L 00, that 29`� -of said- amount i -s- 5�/3�00-. Sour introduced the following resolution, " Resolved that Frank Peel, l.G.Combs and Joe Bell, three electors of t City of�Fayetteville, Arkansas, be and they are -hereby -appointed -as a. Board of'Aseessement.of . - Benefits t6 beereceirved by the lots, blocks and parcels of real estate in School Street Imp. Dist No.l, o'if'fhe City of rayet'tevil-le,--Arkansas.-" and moved i-ta adoption, which motion was duly --. secondeld .by Aid.- Price_ and adopted by the _following_ vote, "Ayes", Eason, Price, Phillips, Sour ay Wright,_ "Nays",__ none, absent and not voting, Aid. Cornwell - same was carried. i The Chairman of the Light Committee ifas instructed to have three additional lights in- stalled, -at the- places _he_deemed -most _adviseable.__, - - - The City Attorney_ was instructed to -draft an ordinance requiring two inspections of all plumbinlg hereinafter installed in the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
