Phill ps �nd adopted by.the.following vote, "Ayes"_,_Cornsell, Eason., -Price, -Phillips, Sour and Wright. Aid. Eason introduced the follw.ving.resolution, and moved its -passage, towit - T Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas - That the owner of_Lot three in Block eight, Masonic Addition to the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, be rouired to construct a sidewalk four feet and .four inches in width, including curb, along and infront of paid lot, fronting Washington Avenue; that the owner of lots one and one "A" in Block eight Masonic Addition to the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, be required to construct a sidewalk along and in front -of said lots four feet and four inches in width; including -curb, fronting Washington Avenue. That said side walks shall be constructed in accordance with ordinances .overning the.construction of side walks in the City of Fayetteville. Carried. ` I This being the regular night as advertised for the Council. talking action upon the petition of A.B.Stone, et al, jaxxXtxgxikaxRxxxcKit heretofore filed_, praying the Council -to Ireate an improvement district for the purpose of improving by -paving with macadam, trea.ted ith "Tarvia",_or.some other preparation .to act.as a binder.or.by paving with what is known as ;Iar-'Maca.da.m, the.following.Streets_and Avenue,-towit_- School Street from Mountain_ Street to the South City Limits and Prairie Avenue from School Street. to Cemetery Street, and_that-the post thereof be -assessed and charged upon the real property -situated within said district, and Rafter a consideration of said petition _and evidence of petitioners showing that.said petition _ is signed by a majority in value of the owners of real property within said District and adjoi ig he locality to be affected, thereupon Aid. Carried, and the Clerk was instructed to notify the said members of said Board of Improv --ment of their appointment. The Mayor_suggested_that it would be a good idea for the said Board to_call in Messrs. Hobbs and Byrnes for advise regarding said improvement, which suggestion wa, y approvediby the Council.- The Mayor. appointed a. Special Committee composed -of Aid. Price, seconded by Ald. Sour, same were duly approved. Aid. Phill.ins introduced an ordinary to amend ordinance lio. 308, which was read the whereupon_Ald._Price-,_moved that the rules be suspended and said ordinance be read _-Ifisst -time,__ time which motion was duly seconded by Aid.
