Minutes of meeting held April 3rd, 1913 were read and approved. Ald. Sour :From the Auditing Committee reported the following accounts.against the —�o.n_�agon_yard City examined and found correct, towit - A.M.Byrnes, material for City Hospital, $56.35, rent 600.00�, C,S.1)uggan,-wood for fire house,s3J50,_hight Co. Eights for March,178. 0,,._S.,S.ATillei,_gua.rding City gri9one.rs-,4)2.25, J.J.Knock, urvey_ing for City X12.60, Police Judge, office expense 81.45, Northwest t,rk. Lbr. Co. material for City Hospital, $99.00, H. _ ,our, work for I. & R.�et_ition, ^5.00, whereupon Ald.Suttle moved that said accounts be allow ed and Clerk instructed to draw warrants for same, which motion was duly seconded by A1d.Price _ __ - adopted by thefollowing vote, "byes", Eason, Price, Sour,_ Suttle and Wright, "Nays", none absent and not voting., Ald. Cornwell - same receiving two-thirds majority of all members elect led_to the�ity Council AvRs therefor der_la.red to be passed and Clerk instructed to draw warrant as said accounts. ��and i Hon. w.H.Rollins, submitted the following report of his past administration, towit: _ I I — i i _ i _. _ _ - hiiarc.us_Hulse-, the_nerrly_elected City Treasurer was presentmmt and was swwrn in by his Hon. 4'/.H. ;Rollins,when Pr. Hulse submitted his bond to the City Council as City Treasurer, which bond was ____]upon motion of Aid. Sour, seconded,by Ald. Suttle approved,by the Council and the Ex -Treasurer - Id.e.litered his .r.ecords,_p_=ners, etc, to Mr. Hulse, the now City Treasurer. Er. W.F.Stirman, re-elected Police Judge was sworn in by his Hon. T.H.Rollins, and he, _ _ ,lit-irlllan,-••_.9ubnatted his bond as Police Judge, which was upon motion; of Aid. Sour, seconded by Ald ,- _ Su.t.tl.e-.approved by the Colin-c.il. W.H.Rollins reporting to the Council that all old business was finished, he then vacated — the chair as_L:ay_o.r_, when. the_neyrly elected Xay_or,_Rir. Guy Philips, was sworn in by Police Judge, iStirman and Lir. Philips taken his seat.as Mayor - whereupon LTr.,Philips, the newely elected Ald. Iman from the Syl ward being present, the oath of -office was administered to him by Police Judge' _ — �Stirman, when Lor. Suttle the then Alderman surrendered his seat to Nr. Phillips and Phillips -taken This seat in the futher deliberations ofthe Council. ,1 Thee i?ayor, Guy Philips, appointed the following standing Committees, towit: ON FIN_L_S7CE - Phillips, ON STREETS - Cornwell, ON FIRE & TATER, Price, �' Cornwe1-l. Cornwell, Ph'ill'ips, , Price, Price, Phillips, - ON_LIGHTS - Phillips, ON ORDINAI?CES, Sour, ON SE'v9ERB, Wright, Wright, Wright, Eason, Sour Eason, Sour, ON AUDITING, E'a,son, Price, Wright, Whereupon Ald. Sour moved that said appointments be approved by the Council which motion was by Ald. Eason and adopted. I�dulyseconded TheMayor then re -appointed Mr. C.S.Duggans, as Chief of the Fire Department, W.A:Gregg ----_S.hiof•.ofr Police, which appointments were duly approved by the Council upon motion of Aid. Sour, seconded by Ald. Price. Also, the Mayor ne-appointed the same Board of Health as were previously members, excepting the Mayor, who by virtue of the office becomes ChAimman of said Committee. I -_�The_Iayorrecommended that the appointment of the Street Commissioner be, deferred until some future time, which recomriendation was accepted by the Council.. Ald. Sour introduced the following resolution and moved its passage, towit: 1"Be it resolved by the Council of the Gity of Fayetteville, Arkansas - that the City Council 1sha-1-]-mee-t in-regula-r-session-on-the-fi•rs•t-and-thir.d_Er.iday.s_in_each_mo.nth,_at,8-.CSO P.M. -in Summer and at 7.30 B.L4. in winter, that the compensation for each member present shall be 012.00 __-_f-or each-r.egular-me.e.ting.and.ggl. CL each call meeting. r That this resolution be in force from and after its passage and than a'1 resolutions lin conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. " which motian *as duly seconded by _ Ali. Price and adopted by the following vote, "Ayes", Eason; Price, Phillips, Sour, and Wright, *K! "r'at's none, absent and not voting, Aid.
