By the original ordinance introduced in the Council, by which this franchise in behalf of W.S.
erkleand others, it was expresely_stipulat_e_d_that_the street_car_line should connect the
public square with ALL railroad stations located within the corporate limits of the City. T,is
was a wise provision, as connection with the different depots would accomodate a much larger

P that attitude until shortly before its passage, when it was so amended as to omit the mention
-----bf-a depot or -railroad --station. It-is-generally-understood--that-if-any-street-railroad-is--con=

structed and operated in Fayetteville the electric porter for such purpose will be furnished by
- ------------ -:the-Fayetteville-Elec-tr-ic-Company-.-It-is-likewise-known--that--the-Fayette-vi3le-Elect-ric-Company-
has recently passed into the hands of parties closely connected with the new railroad now enter
