Jobe, same were referred to the Finance Committee for their investigation and report. - Aldo Suttle from the Finance Committee, reported that this Committee were not at this r ready to report_on-the condition- of- the _Pump$�at-ion._ The-petit_ion of_T..H.41ill.iams-,__et__al, asking that valks_be ordered. -in -on- Suttle .and-- - -. Walnut Streets was read and upon motion of Aldo Suttle same was gassed for the time being.,UPUI which Committee was appointed by the Mayor } the Committee composed of Aldo Cornwell, Sour and Suttle could investigate &he same and ascert in the cost of this improvement to the City. Cornwell, seconded by_A1d.,Jobe,_same was -referred to IIh'the Str.eet_Committee_for their_ inv_estigat_ion and report. _Aldo-Suitle.,_ fromthe Committee appointed to_ -investigate. -the, ordering -in of walks on 6utton.and Walnut_ streets,_ submitted the following report, _towit.-:- To The Hon. _Mayor _and City Council Your Committee having been appointed at the meeting of the Council to investigate the petition of the citizens on Sutton, Willow and Walnut Streets; -- ' --- in -regard -to drder.ing'in`si-de walks; having -investigated the matter_thoughorly - find that said petition has been signed by the majority of the property owners; we would recommend that the pray r of the petitioners be -_granted. We further recommend that the City Eggdndkr be'notified to establi h- - grade on said streets, and further, that the Street Commissioner shall notify the property owners 6n said,,.streets to construct same; said.walks shallbefour feet -.in width -exclusive of curb, whit shall be in depth and four inches wide; said material to compare to same as in ordinances heretofore passed by the Council. City Councilof the City of Fayetteville be, and they are hereby respectfully requested to insure against loss by fire, the City Hospital Building in.a sum not less than ten thousan� _ dollars; -and that the Secretary of this Board certify this resolution to the Honors l -e Council of said City. Fire Chief Duggans, appeared before the _Council and asked said Council to have the Oil Tanks moved, out of the heart - - the City- WhereuponAld. Cornweell moved that the Mayor be authorized to investigate same and , 1. report the advisability of taking steps to meve the same; which motion was duly seconded by Aid. Suttle and adopted.
