Hight from the Committee appointed to investigate the walks.on College Avenue reports.that the Committee had not had time enough to complete -their investigation and requests more Itime, which was granted. _ Aldo Hight introduced the following resolution Resolved, that the liae_nse on each every automobile used in the City limits for private utse be and the same is_$5.00.per- -and annum, on each and every automobile used in the City limits for public hire, be and the same is 010.00 per..annum " and moved its adoption, which motion was duly seconded by Aldo Sour and adopted by the following vote, "Ayes" _ Appleby, Cornwell, Jobe, Hight, Sur and,Suttle, "Nays" _ None absent and not voting, -.none, same receiving_a majoriiy of all members_ elected -to the Ctty Council ,was th(Tefore declared to be adopted and passed. Thereupon the Board of Control of the City Hospital present and submit .to the _Council its proposal .,.and that of, twenty-six.aitizens and tax payers of the City for the completion of the City _ ,,Hospital Build_in- ,_ the proposal of said Board of _Control is in_}words and figures as follows " Fayetteville, Ark. , July 19, 1911. - To`The -Hono'rabl`e-Mayor arid -Aldermen -- _ Of the City of Fayetteville: --The Board -of -Control- of--the-City-Hospital -hereby report to the Council that they have secured estimates of the amounts necessary to complete the City +,,Hospital.building.and_find that it_will_cost $2600..00. -_to install.the.heatingg plant, the pumb ing, electric light fixtures and maintain insurance on the building _ It will require after Up µcompletion 49S said plumbing , heating and electric light_ fixtures and --- insurance, -a further outlay of approximately -$406066 -6 -to o complete the building in all other respects, according to Ithe plane and specifications of the architect. Said Board here submits to this Honorable Body, - "that they Nave--arrangments perfected by -which they can; -without expense to the City, complete ithe building, provided the City will furnish the necessary funds to install said heating plant, ,.»put in the -plumbing and electric light fixtures and maintain insurance on -the building. - In view of the great necessity of a hospital to accommadatie the people of the City, th ,;,Board _of Control. have _procured twenty-six citizens and tax payers. who _here ,offer to advance the sum of $2600.00 in cash with which to make said improvements provided the City, who owns + this property, will levy a reasonable tax and repay to them the money so advanced without "interest. Whereas_,_ the Board of Control of the City_Hospital__of the City of Fayetteville, Arkar have arrangements made by which they can procure without liability on the part of the City funds and complete the constructions of the City Hospital building, according to the plane and specif lications of the architect, provided the City furnieh the sum of $2600.00 with which to maintain insurance, on the building, supply and install the heating plant, plumbing ,,.electric light -fixtures therein, according to said plans and -specifications, and Whereas, said City has not on hand the funds with which to pay cash for said insur- J*�ance, heating plant, phumbing and electric light fixtures., - -- Sow, each of the subscribers hereto agree to procure and advance to said City, with i j,..interest, the._sum.of one hundred dollars, for the purpose.of furnishing said heating plant, plumbing, e,lectiro light fixtures and insurance, provided the City Council will annually levy ,,.-a tax of not less than one half of one mill on the dollar of taxable property in the City end as said taxes are collected, apply the same in repayment of the money so advanced until said a= of $2600.00 shall have been fully refunded. Whereas_,_ the Board of Control of the City_Hospital__of the City of Fayetteville, Arkar have arrangements made by which they can procure without liability on the part of the City funds and complete the constructions of the City Hospital building, according to the plane and specif lications of the architect, provided the City furnieh the sum of $2600.00 with which to maintain insurance, on the building, supply and install the heating plant, plumbing ,,.electric light -fixtures therein, according to said plans and -specifications, and Whereas, said City has not on hand the funds with which to pay cash for said insur- J*�ance, heating plant, phumbing and electric light fixtures., - -- Sow, each of the subscribers hereto agree to procure and advance to said City, with i j,..interest, the._sum.of one hundred dollars, for the purpose.of furnishing said heating plant, plumbing, e,lectiro light fixtures and insurance, provided the City Council will annually levy ,,.-a tax of not less than one half of one mill on the dollar of taxable property in the City end as said taxes are collected, apply the same in repayment of the money so advanced until said a= of $2600.00 shall have been fully refunded.
