Davis and other citzens on College Avenue appeared before the Council and pre sented a petition.asking the Council to investigate and _see if a five foot aide walk on College Avenue would not be sufficient instead of an eight foot walk which matter was referred to the - Street Committee for,their_investigation and report. His Honor suggested that a compromise could be reached with Mr. Wilson in regard -to the replacing the walk. taken ._up_by__the,City-.several month ago, i.e. Mr. Wilson,agreeing to lay a new walk if the City would pay_6i cents.per foot for that
