Owning -to the sickness and absence of the Mayor, Alderman Appleby moves that the_Counc
come to order 2nd -that Ald. Jobe be elected President Pro Tem, which motion was duly seconded an
adoptedrby the following vote _ "gyes" - Appleby, Jobe, Hight, Sour and Suttle "Nags" - None,

Mr. McDaniel appeared before the Council and ask that the Council give him a quit clai
deed to a portion of Nest `!lest Rock Street, which said portion had been acquired by the City Bev
years ago;and.,tcra4ed by__s_a.id City for -another portion- of_ground_-_upon motion of Ald. Sour,secon
by Aid. Hight, same was referred to the City Attorney for his investigation and report.

Absent - Ma.yor. (on, -account of sickness). Minutes of meeting helf Marcr.2E3, 1910 were read and
approved _ Ald, dight moved that Ald. Jobe be appointed President Pro Tem - which.motion was dul
seconded_by Ald. Sour and adopted by the following vote, "Ayes" - Appleby, Hdght, Phillips, Sour
and Suttle, "Nays" - Jobe, same receiving a majority of all memebers elected to the City Council
was therefore declared to be adopted; and Ald. Jobe took the Chair.
The City Attorney reports favor upon the request of Mr. McDaniel to give him, the said

McDaniel a quit claim deed to a lbortion of '!Jest Rock Strreb - whereupon At. Sour moved that the
following resolution be adopted, towit " Whereas, it is shown to the Council that about the year
-1880 one :..:. Richmond -was the -owner --of a strip of -ground -forty feet -wide fronting -on Nest Street

and running back from 'Nest Street and adjoining on the North, the property of D.B.Jobe,.and an
understanding -and -agreement -was --then made between said Richmond and the -town of Fayetteville whe

Street -and theirailroad right of way of the P & G.E. Railwoad (now Frisco) and that since said date, E.C.,

Therefore, be it resolved by the Council that W.H.Rollins, as Mayor on behalf of the
