Present :— Mayor and Clerk _ Aldermen. — 41)teby, Jobe, Hight, Phillips, Sour and Sut
Absent — None — Minutes of meeting held Aug. 18, 1910 were read and approved.
Ald. Suttle introduced an Ordinance, entitled, " An Ordinance to prohilit expectorating
on the Sidewalks or foot pavements of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, " — which ordinance wa3
read the first time; whereupon Ald. Sour moved to suspend the rules and said Ordinance be read ,
the second time, which motion was duly seconded by Ald. Suttle, and adopted by the following vot
Lkes _ Appleby, Hight, Phillips, Sour and Suttle, Nays — Jobe, aLeent and not voting, none, and
said ordinance was read the second time — whereupon Ald. Suttle moved that the rules be futther ,
suspended and said ordinance be read the third time and placed upon its passage, which motion wa:
duly seconded by Ald. Sour and adopted by the following vote, Ayes — Appleby, Hight, Phillips,
Sour and Suttle, Nays — Jobe — rbsent and not votin,;,r _ note, the question now being shall the
Ordinan::e pass ? The roll was called and those voting Aye were Ald. Appleby, Hight, Phillips,
Sour and Suttle, Nays — Jobe — Absent and not voting none — same receiving a majority of all
members elected to the City Council was therefore declared to be passed and adopted and a copy

Ald. Sour introduced an Ordinance, entitled, An Ordinance to prohibit real estate
dealers from soliciting business on the Streets, aide walks, etc, of the City of Fayetteville, "
which ordinance was read the first time — whereupon Ald. Appleby moved that the rules be suspend�d
and said Ordinance be read the second time, which motion was duly seconded by Ald. Sour and
adopted by the following vote, Ayes — Apple Ly, Jobe, night, Phillips, Sour and Suttle,,2lays _Non
absent and not voting — none — and said ordir.ance was read the second time — whereupon Ald. Appl
moved that said Ordinance be referred to the Finance Committee, which motion wao duly seconded
Ald. Phillips and adopted by the following vote, Ayes — Appleby, Jobe, flight, Phillips, Sour and
Suttle — nays — none — abdent and not voting — none — and said Ordinance was referred to the
_Finance Conuaittee.
Ald. Appleby introduced the following resolution, towit — " Resolved by the City
Council of the City of Fayetteville, Ark., That the owner or owners of the following described '-
reVl estate in the City of Fayetteville, Ark., be and the same are hereby required to construct
side walks and curbing along their respective property, said sic.e walke to conform with the

Lot 7 in Block 80, on Block Street, also lots A/8 in Block •29 on East Street, said side walks tow

be six feet wide exclusive of curbings, " and moved its adoption, which motion was duly seconded)
by Ald. Sour and adopted by the following vote — Ayes — Appleby, Jobe, Bight, Phillips, Sour and!
Suttle _ Nays — None, absent and not voting _ none.
Ald. Spur.l4troduced the following resolution, towit — " Be it resolved by the city
Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas — That the owner or owners of Lot 11 in Block 29

lot fronting on East St., according to the plans and specifications as laid down in Ordinance
loo. .... Said side walk to conform in width with that in front of Lot 10 in same Block, and
moved its adoption — which motion was duly seconded by Ald.Suttreand adopted by the following
vote — Ayes — Appleby, Jobe, Phillips, Hight, Sour and Suttle — Nays _ None — absent and not
voting — none —
Aldo Sour. introduced the following resolution, towit :— 11 Be it resolved by the
City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Ark., — That the owner or owners of the following
described real estate in the City of Fayetteville, Ark., be and the same are hereby required
to construct side walks and curbs along their respective property, said side walks to conform
with the plans and specifications as laid down in Ord. No. ... towit :— Lots 12, 13, 14, 15
all in Block 26, all fronting on Center St. — Said side walks to be six feet wide exclusive of
curbing — and moves its adoption — which motion was duly seconded by Ald. Phillips and adopted

by the following vote — Ayes — Appleby, Jobe, Hight, Phillips, Sour and Suttle — Nays — None
absent and not voting — none.
Aldo Appleby, introduced the following resolution, towit — " Be it resolved by the
City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Ark., that all of the owners of the following described
real estate in the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, be and the same are hereby required to con—
