The minutes of meeting held duly 28, 1910were and •approyed.-The .reports _ of the Chieftof Police, Street Commissioner, Special Disbursing_Agent, Police Judge, City WeigI i Master, City Treasurer for the month of July, 1910 were read and referred to_the Finance _Commi tee The reports_of the Board of Assessers_for Water and Sewer Impr._Dist., No.. -1 for _the year 1.910 also -the report of E.L.Nettleship, Auditor were read and--apop notion:' of,iAldveSour,L•seconded;by Ald. Hight, said reports were accepted and approved by the Council. -The following accounts wer read b,owit :- Fayetteville Prtg. Clk, $9.80, Hill City Lbr._Co. $1.65,_ Telephone Co.. $17.00, Pefferly $5.95, Light Co. $134.00, and S.P.Rogers, $5.50 and upon motion of Alderman Sour seconded by Ald. Mr.- Baum _appeared_b_efore _the_Council. and akked permission to srect_temporary steps in- front of his building. -also _to_be-allowed to run -a - drain under the side walk, which upon motion of Ald. Appleby , seconded by_Ald. Sour, the follow - - - Ing members members voting "Aye" - Appleby, Jobe, Hdght, Phillips and Sour, "Nays".--None,-_a.bsent end i - - -- - not voting "Ald. Suttle " same was allowed and saidaktir� n permission -to -construct said steps r, for a short time and also permission to lay said drain under, the side walk in front -his building. Cdr. Baum also askedPermission of the Council to grant -him an _extens ion -of_ time _-to- put in _his side walk in front his store ewing to -his absence from -the C-ity_--whereupon_Ald._ Hight moved to grant Mr. Baum until the first of October, 1910 in which to build said side walk, which motion ---- was duly seconded by Ald. Sour and said extension was allowed, the following members voting "aye" -- -- -. ,Appleby. Jobe. _Hight_ Phillips, Sour and.Suttle, ._nays" -_::one-, .absent.and_not-vo.t-ing,--Suttle. _ C.H.Bell_appeared-before the'Council.and asked_why that_por_tion-.o.f-Block--s.tree.t..from the Huggins buildings 19outh to Center Street had not been graded and a side walk laid as required by an Ordinance pass several months ago ? The matter was discussed and the Council agreed that the Street Commissioner would grade said portion of Block Street as soon as possible and said walk should be laid.. Alderman Appleby dfiEeaed the following resolution "_Resolved_,_ that. _the _City Council a the sum of $150.00 P from p y per block for each and emery block sued or lgstftRst4t,t.the Square West toSchool Street, thence North to Dickson Street,_ and_the-property_•otivners on..said ..atreeta do their own grading " which resolution was duly seconded by Ald.
