REGULAR MEL+'TING OF THE CITY COUNCIL, HELD 14ARCH 249 1910.
Present - Mayor and Clerk - Aldermen, Appleby, Jobe, Phillipe, Sour and Suttle.
Absent - None, ii:inutes of meeting held March 17, 1910 were read and approved.
The accounts of rF*F.Croxdale, Clerk, and Fayetteville _Light _Co, were read and
referred to the Auditing Committee,
On motion of Ald. Appleby, seconded_ by Ald. Sour it was moved that the_ Cluster
Ligh s _
be inserted to take the place of the Arc_ Lights now around the Square three lights to -each_
-1 {'pole .3 poles to each side of the dquere ^inaking 3269_cand1e power _lights_ without extra .cost.,,
to the City except 427.00 to pay -for installing- the brackets 9.11 members prepent voting "Aye"
!except Ald. Suttle, who voted " Nay". Motion carried.
_ 1 _ Alderman_Phillips_from the _Ordinance -Committee - intorduced_an.Ordinar.ce, entitled,.
"An Ordinance to fax the salaries of certain officials which was read the first time, on
- motion of Sour the rules were suspended and said Ordinance was read the second time - On moti n
of Ald. Phillips to place said Ordinance upon its third reading, same not receiving a-majoirpy
was lost; on motion of Ald_ Appleby said Ordinance was referred to the Auditing_ Committee for
their examination and report.
The Mayor appointed the Finance Committee to select,a man to audit the Sewer and
'dater Books - with full _power to em>>loy said "uditor.
