Ordinance was read the first time; on motion cf Ald. Appleby the rules were suspended and said
Ordinance was read the second time; on motion of Aid. Sour the rules were further suspended
and.said Ordinance was placed upon its third reading and final passage, the question being

be removed any service box which is now set or may be set on or over any water service line

That all persons or person engaged in the corratruction of side walks in the City of
Fayetteville, Arkansas, be and are hereby required to carefully keep all service boxes_ in pro -1

Alderman Phillips introduced an Ordinance to protect Fire Hydrants, which was read the
first time, on motion of Aid. Sour, the rules.were suspended and said _Ordinance was read the
Isecond time, on motion of Aid. Sour the rules were further suspended and said Ordinance was
placed upon its third reading and passage, the question being shall the Ordinance pass ?_The
roll was called and those voting ” Aye " were Aldo Appleby, Jobe,_Phillips, Sour and Suttle,_
"Nays " _ None, absent and not voting Alderman Sedwick; same_receiving_a_majority of all membe s
elected to the Council was therefore declared to be passed and a copy of which is as follows.

— Be--It-Ordained--by the -City -Council df -the City -of Fayetteville; -Arkansan
That any person or persons other than the Supe rintendant or his assistant, or some
+person author-ized-bye-the--Superintenda:t, or membersofthe Fire Bypartment-while- in -discharge -of -
their duties at fires, or testing hose or for any other peason pertaining to the Fire Department
,who shall. ,open,- close,.-or_.molest any -Eire Hydra nt-f.or-pur-po.se_of-spainkling--;.tree-ts- or any- purpo
whatsoever bhall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor.
Be it further ordained -that -no person be allowed to open or_ -close any Fire_Hydrant--wi
a, monkey wrench, chain Wrench, pipe wrench or any other device other than those provided for suc
,!use and,kept by the Superintendant of the City Water Plant or the City Fire Department.

laying off and establishing a local Improvement District for the purpose of grading, rolling_a_nd

LaRayatte Avenue from its junction with Dlive Street in the City of Fayetteville, West to Collee '.
