Minutes of meeting held Sept. 16, 1909 were read and approved.
_M Messers. Brough & Walker _appeared before the Council_and_addressed-the -same in regard__
to the assessment of the Sewer & Water benefits against the several churchs_.of this City and
' advised that if the Council seen the way clear to lower and make the assessments upon the said
6hurchs $ 50.00 per annum instead_ of the present assessments _upon the _same_,,_ - that _ they., the sa.i

to the City of Fayetteville, was read and accepted, subject to the condit_ions__name_d_in- said decd.
A-1 1lderman Sour introduced an Ordinance granting the Oxford Telephone Co: ,_a 25_ -year
fr. nch-ise, which wad read the first time; on motion of Ald. Sour the rules were suspended, two

thirds of the Council voting and said Ordinance was read the second time.; on motion of Alderma.
Appleby said Ordinance was refferred to the Finance Committee._ On -m ony_ouncil adjourned.
