Moved by _Aldermen Jobe and seconded by_Alderman -So_ur,_ that__the_Bond of L•,E,Hollandthe newly eppointed Street Commissioner, be approved, :Motion carried.
- Alderman Barr moved -that, whereas,_ the City of Fayetteville, through its Council
is the Lessee of a portion of Block No. 26 in the said City, and

t7hereas, the Council heretofore rented to U, L,Smelsor, a certain building situate
on said leased lot; and
- - Whereas; the said Smelser is using said building so' rented to'him for a Grist :;fill
and_,usi.ng_a_,gasoline_engine-in_said bu-ilding,-_and-
-_____,7hereas,--the_City's_ Lessor, one_Albert_Byrnes. has been- compelled to ytay-_a_ higher
-- rate -of insurance by reason of the use of gasoline by said City's Lessee,^and proposes that
the City pay one half of the cost of such insurance, or 12.50 per year, or so long as said
__gasoline engine;is_used _in_said _building, that_ the City_ accept_ the proposal of the said Byrne. _.
and direct, _and does roreby- direct, the City_Clerk to draw a Warrant on the City.Treasurer,
payable'to-said.Albert Byrnes, out of any moneys in the-Treasury,not otherwise _anpropriated_,
for the sum of v 12,50;which motion was seconded by Alderman Sour; -when the same was put, whe
