MINUTES OF A BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING
A meeting of the Board of Adjustment was scheduled to be held
on Monday, December 20, 1982 at 3.45 P.M. in the Continuing
Education Center.

Chairman Chester House, Robert Waldren,
David Crittenden
Larry Tompkins, Dennis Becker, Don Mills,
Butch Robertson
Mr. and Mrs. John Stout, Bobbie Jones, Suzanne Kennedy
At 4:00, only three Board of Adjustment members were present so that,
for lack of a quorum, the meeting could not take place.
Suzanne Kennedy informed the Chairman that, of the four absent
members, she knew of two who would not be in attendance, but had been
unable to reach the other two members by telephone today.
Chairman House stated he was disappointed in those members who did
not notify us that they would be absent.
Planning Administrator Bobbie Jones stated she sympathized with
Mr. and Mrs. Stout, since the Planning Office could not have notified
the Stout's about the lack of a quorum since we had no way of knowing
in advance. She talked about the need for the Planning Office to post a
notice in the newspaper a week in advance of the meeting and the posting
of a sign in advance of the meeting, and stated that these things have
to be done ahead of time, even when situations such as this arise where
there is no quorum
Dr. Crittenden asked if the next scheduled meeting would take place
on January 3.
Bobbie Jones stated she did not know if there could be a special
meeting before then, since there were not enough members present to decide
Chairman House expressed the wish to hold the next meeting on January 3.
