HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-06-14 MinutesMINUTES OF A BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETINGS -2 ` The Fayetteville Board of Adjustment met at 3:30 P.M., Monday, June 14, 1971, in the Directors Room, City Administration Building, Fayetteville, Arkansas, Members Present: J. F. Robinson, J. F. Palmer, Roy Clinton. Members Absent: Suzanne Lighton, Carl Yates, Others Present: Walter Niblock, Carl Atkins, L. C. Snow, Keith Cearley. The only matter before the Board was a-tpublic hearing on the application FRANK GRECO of Frank Greco, Aristo Food, Inc. for a variance on property located at ARISTO''`FOODS 2332 North College Avenue (the old Elks Club). 2332 N. Colle, Walter Niblock, Carl Atkins, and a gentlemen from the proposed Joe DiMaggio Restaurant mere present to represent the application. They propose to erect a sign 321 ft. high, approximately 100 sq, ft. in area at least 12 feet clearance back from the power lines. It would be neon behind plastic, but nothing flashing, The building is 16 ft. high, Keith Cearley of Bonanza thought this would obstruct vision of his sign, Carl Atkins said it would not, He said he had no objection if it did not obstruct vision of his sign, The public hearing was closed, • Roy Clinton moved to approve the appeal for a variance, J. F. Palmer seconded. A variance to permit sign 32# ft, in overall height and approximately 100 sq. ft. in area was approved unanimously. The minutes of May 31, 1971, Board of Adjustment meeting were approved as mailed with one correction. Delete, "Roy Clinton turned the chair over to Mr. Robinson to continue the meeting." The meeting was adjourned at 4:05 P.M. I
