The Fayetteville Board of Adjustment met at 3:30 P.H., Monday,
May 31, 1971 (Memorial Dap) in the Directors Room, City Administration
Building, Fayetteville, Arkansas,
Members Presents Roy Clinton, Susanne Lighton, J. F.. Robinson,
J. F. Palmer
Members Absent: Carl Yates
Others Present: Paul A. Walker, Billy Ashworth, Bob Stout, Harold Lieberena
The meeting was called to order by Mr. Roy Clinton, who presided over
the start of the meeting.
The first item on the agenda was a public hearing on the application
of Hoyet Greenwood for a variance on the property located on the West
aide of North College Avenue, South of Township Road, between Sight
and Sound Building and Chevrolet Used Car Lot. pNr. Greenwood wants to
erect a canopy type structure 18 ft. 6 inches from the ROW of North
College Avenue and requests a variance from College Avenue of 31 ft.
6 inches instead of the required 50 feet.
The members discussed the application for variance.
There was no one present to speak for or against the variance requested.

The next item on the agenda was a public hearing on the application of
Paul A. Walker for a variance on property located on the Southwest corner
of South School Avenue and Eleventh Street, Mr. Walker wants to erect
a 66+ ft, by 100 ft, building on the West property line. He is
requesting a 10 ft, setback instead of the required 20 ft. Mr. Walker
was present to represent his application.
Susanne Lighton asked Mr. Walker if he owned the property to the east
from the proposed building to School Avenue. He said thathe dial.
Mrs. Lighton also asked him if he could move away from the alley.

The members discussed the application for variance.
There was no opposition present; the public hearing was closed.
Newt on the agenda was a public hearing on the application of Stout
Petroleum Company for a variance on the property located on the
Southeast corner of Beechwood Avenue and Old Farmington Street. The
applicant wants to build an addition onto an existing building. He
wants to build 52 ft. from Old Farmington Street ROW instead of the
required 60 feet. Also, he wants to build 4 ft. from the East property
line instead of the required 25 feet. Mr. Bob Stout was present to
represent this application.
The members discussed the application for variance.
