HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-05-01 MinutesMINUTES OF A BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING / 970 x'370-2 The Fayetteville Board of Adjustment met at 11:00 A.M., Friday, May 12 1970, in the Directors Room of the City Administration Building, Fayetteville, Arkansas, Members Present: Carl Yates, J. F. Palmer, Roy Clinton. Members Absent: Ed Clement, J. F. Robinson. Others Present: Harold Lieberens, Helen Edmiston. In the absence of Mr. Robinson, Carl Yates served as chairman of this meeting which was called to give further consideration to the Helen Edmiston application presented to the Board April 27, 1970, Harold Lieberens explained that he had met with Ms 0. Raspberry, owner of the property, for which Helen Edmiston applied for a HELEN EDMISTON variance. The plot plan has been revised in a way which he thinks will be acceptable. Mr. Raspberry has agreed to give one foot off the South aide of his property to the.property awnere to the South. This should settle the property line question. He also agreed to set the buildings on the South 5 feet from the South property line and will need no variance on that matter. He further agreed to omit the front yard parking from the site plan. The site plan was also altered by omitting units A-4 and A-5, and turning units A-6. A-7, and A -B to face West and connect A -B to A-9. Units A-1, A-2, and A-3 are • to be located with the firewall 25 feet from the front property line. As amended the variances requested are for a group housing project, to be permitted to locate the firewalls on the East -'19 feet from the rear property line, and a variance for a shortage of 400 square feet in lot area. Mr. Lieberens stated arrangements have been made with the City Street Department to survey the alley to see whether it can be widened arW further. The developer is going to cut these lots down to slope their parking off the alley. Mr. Lieberens showed photographs of the type of garbage receptacles planned. Roy Clinton moved that the Board accept the request as amended and as shown on the revised site plan, that the Board grant a variance for a rear yard setback of 19 feet, the 400 square feet lacking in lot area be waived, and the group housing petition be granted. J. F. Palmer seconded. It was approved unanimously The meeting was adjourned at 11:15 A.M.
