BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MINUTES
The Board of Adjustment met at 4:00 P. M., Wednesday, January 15, 1969, in
• the Directors' Room of the City Administration Building, Fayettevi]le,Arkansas.
Members Present: J. F. Robinson, Ed,Clement, Roy Clinton
Members Absent: J. F. Palmer, Carl Yates
Others Present: 'Mr. and Mrs. Joe Pendleton, Harold Lieberens
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, J. F. Robinson.
Mrs. Joe Pendleton
The only variance appeal to be acted upon was submitted by Mrs. Joe Pendleton,
for a variance from the City Zoning Ordinance in order to make an addition to
an existing single family residence that will be closer to the front property
line than is permitted in R -1B, Single Family Residential Zoning District. The
request is to permit a front yard set back of 19 feet rather than 25 feet as required.
Mr. and Mrs. Pendleton were present to represent the appeal.
Chairman Robinson stated that he was familiar with the property in question
and that the plan submitted by Pendletons' seemed to be a logical way to
make the nen addition to their existing hone.
Mr. Robinson ask ifthe Board of Adjustment members had any questions.
• Mr. Ed Clement ask the applicant if there was a carport in existence on the
South side of the house.
Mrs. Pendleton answered yes, the carport is now in existence.
The Chairman then ask if there were other questions from the Board members or
from the City Building Inspector.
Harold Lieberens, City Building Inspector, ask if the lot area was adequate.
Mr. Pendleton answered that all requirements had been met eccept for the front
yard set back requirement.
There being no further questions and no one present opposed to the variance
the public hearing was closed. Chairman Robinson thanked Mr. and Mrs. Pendleton
for attending the meeting and instructed them to can the City Building Inspector
later for the Board of Adjustment decision. Mr. and Mrs. Pendleton left the roam.
Next the minutes of the November 6, 1968 and December 18, 1968 meetings of the
Board of Adjustment were unanimously approved as mailed on a motion by Ed Clement
and second by Roy Clinton.
At this time the Board returned consideration to the variance request of mr. and
Mrs. Pendleton.

Mr. Robinson stated that the e3darting house was built before the Zoning Ordinanwi
went into affect and he could see no reason to deny the variance,
