The Board of Adjustment met at 4:00 P. M., October 16, 1968, in the
Directors' Room of theCity Administration Building, City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas,
Members Present: Ed Clement, Carl Yates, Wade Fincher,
Members Absent: J. F. Robinson, J. F. Palmer.
Others Present: Mr. and Mrs. Tom W. Lavender, Harold Lieberenz.
The meeting was called to order by Acting Chairman, Carl Yates._____
Tom Lavender
The only item of business was a petition by Mr. Tom W. Lavender requesting
a variance in order to erect a single family residence in an A-1, Annexed
Territory District, on a lot having less than the two (2) acres required
by the Zoning Ordinance No. 1425,
Mr. Lavender was present to represent his appeal to the Board. He told the
Board members that on both sides of his lot were homes on lots approximately
the same size as his.
• Mr. Yates ask the Building Inspector, Harold Lieberenz, if the proposed set
backs were in keeping with the Zoning Ordinance.
Mr. Lieberenz stated that other than the applicant's lot being less than
2 acres as required in the A-1, Annexed Territory District, all requirements
were met.
Mr. Yates then thanked Mr. and Mrs. Lavender and instructed them to call the
Office of City Planning on October 17th for the decision made by the Board
of Adjustment.
The applicant and his wife then left the room.
Mr. Yates ask if any of the Board members wanted any further discussion on
the request. There being none, a motion was made by Ed Clement and seconded
by Wade Fincher to approve the variance request of Tom.W. Lavender. The
motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 4:15 P. M.
