Upon mutual consent of the Board, Mr. Robinson agreed to act as Chairman until
one could be elected. Mr. Robinson asked the secretary to read the minutes of
the last meeting. The minutes were read and approved.
The first application to come before the Board was that of Harvey D. and Sara Ed.
Lumbert at 410 East Maple Street. The applicants wished to remodel their
residence by building an addition on their residence. This proposed construction
will be on the northeast corner of the house and located about twenty-two (22) feet
from the rear property line. The Zoning Ordinance requires that the structure
must be twenty-five (25) feet from the rear line in this zone.
Mr. Robinson asked the applicant if they had bought the additional 10 feet of lot on
the east side as shown on the sketch. She replied that it had been with the property
when they bought it. He then asked if there was an alley on the rear of the property.
She replied that there was not. Mr. Robinson asked if the proposed addition would
effect any of the neighbors. Mrs. Lumbert replied that the nearest house to the
rear was about 2 lots away from them facing Walnut Street. Mr. Robinson asked
if the Board was ready to vote and asked the secretary to call the roll. Upon roll
call, a vote indicated.
