Crocker, Sr. Mr. George Bowen Mr. Harold Lieberenz Mr. J.W. Cbhea, representing Mrs. Pearl Lee Mr. L. M. McGoodwin, chairman, called the meeting to order and The minutes of the previous meeting held Nov. 6, 1957 were read and approved. Mr. Lieberenz presented the application of Mrs. Pearl Lee as submitted by Mr. J. W. Cohea . Mr. Cohea has built a one -car car port for Mrs. Pearl Lee without a building permit. This car port is next to the house and the City Ordinance requires at least twenty-five (25) feet rear yard if attached to the residence or must be ten (10) feet from the residence and five (5) feet from the property lines if not attached. Mr. Cohea has made application to the Board of • Adjustment for permission to leave the carport as constructed. Mr. Young asked if the car port constuction would be attached to the main building other than the porch. Mr. Lieberenz stated that it was not attached at any place other than the . concrete porch and steps. The car port is located twenty-two (22) feet from the rear property line and eight (S) feet from the side property line. Mr. Bowen stated that this was correct as the car port a" ttached to the house, that it was attached to the .steps. He said that he went out�o inspect the car port before the Board meeting. // Mr. McGoodwin asked Mr. Lieberenz that even though the car port was closer to the rear property line than the 45 feet required, wouldn't it be legal if he had it detached from the residence and go as close as 5 feet to the propetty line. Mr. Lieberenz said that it would. Where being no further discussion, a vote was indicated and roll was called.
