• After roll call, the Secretary read Minutes of the meet-
ing held April 18, 1952, and they were approved. The
Chairman stated the purpose of the meeting was to con-
sider an application for variation made by Mr. G. Henbest.
Mr. Henbest desires to construct a building on the north-
west corner of York and Leverett Streets three feet closer
to York Street than his Building Permit No. 691 specifies,
in order that he may retain two large shade trees in his
back yard. The Board noted that the buildings near by are
closer to the front lot line than the nCn Residential Area
requires.
There being no quorum in attendance, the Chairman instructed
the Secretary to check with Mr. Bryan who was ill to see
when he could attend a continued hearing. The Chairman
suggested the Board visit the site under consideration and
be ready to continue the hearing on the application at a
meeting to be held on Thursday afternoon, May 15th at 4:00
P.M. in the Council Room, City Administration Building.
The meeting adjourned at 4:30 P.M.
