MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL CALLED MEETING
FAYETTEVILLE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT BOARD
November 21, 2005
MEMBERS PRESENT: Bob Nickle, Otto Loewer, Janice Stanesic, David Holtman,
David Bowman
MEMBERS ABSENT: Frank Sperandeo, Vaughn DeCoster
STAFF PRESENT: Ray Boudreaux, James Nicholson, Louise Powers
ITEM #1: Welcome. Bob Nickle, Chairman.
Chairman Nickle explained at this Special Called Meeting they had one item to discuss,
accept, and forward to the City Council.
ITEM #2: Approve Contract for the Terminal Rehabilitation with Bossier
Construction of Siloam Springs for $254,600.00.
Director Boudreaux explained there had been seven bids, with Bossler Construction
being the low bidder with a bid of $254,600.00. The company is well known by
Wittenburg Delony and Davison (WDD), our architects, and they have recommended
accepting Bossler's bid. There will be a 10% contingency, and that will still keep us
under budget. Bossler's bid allowed 182 to complete the job. WDD thinks it could be
completed in 120 days. Chairman Nickle stated the airport will received $100,000 from
the Arkansas State Aeronautics towards the project, and Million Air will be contributing
$40,000. This is a 2005 budgeted item. If we approve, it will be forwarded to the City
Council for approval, then staff will negotiate a contract with Bossler.
A motion to accept the low bid of $254,600.00 with Bossier Construction and
forward to City Council for approval was made by David Holtman and seconded by
Dave Bowman. The motion carried.
