To confirm the intentions of the Fort Smith Convention and Visitor's Bureau and the City of
Fort Smith, written confirmation will be extended the week of September 1lth to the proper
authority for management of surplus equipment through the Department of Education with the
State of Arkansas, a Mr. Ray Phillips. Our willingness to assume responsibility for the surplus
work locomotive, the current property of the City of Fayetteville, will be stated.
Mr. Phillips has indicated the necessary paperwork will then be drafted to provide for the
transfer
We await these transactions.
