AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE XV: UNIFIED
DEVELOPMENT CODE OF THE CODE OF FAYETTEVILLE TO
AMEND CHAPTER 162: USE UNITS IN ORDER TO ADD A USE
UNIT DESCRIPTION FOR ACCESSORY DWELLING UNITS.
WHEREAS, the City of Fayetteville has adopted Accessory Dwelling Unit regulations; and
WHEREAS, the Accessory Dwelling Unit Use Unit Description was not included at the time
of adoption;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1 . That Chapter 162: Use Units is amended by inserting section 162.01 (00) a copy of
which marked Exhibit "A" is attached hereto and made a part hereof. ,a�"""^�nr

RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval of an ordinance amendment to Ch. 162: Use Units, in order to
insert a use unit description for Accessory Dwelling Units.
BACKGROUND
The City Council adopted an ordinance on April 15, 2008 that established a Use Unit for
Accessory Dwelling Units.
DISCUSSION
Staff was made aware by the City Clerks office that a use unit description was not included at
the time of the Accessory Dwelling Unit ordinance adoption. This amendment will insert the
appropriate language in Chapter 162: Use Units.
BUDGET IMPACT
None.
