BACKGROUND The subject properties are located west of Razorback Rd. south of Eighteenth St. and east of 1-540. This neighborhood was platted primarily with quarter acre lots and is single family in nature. All of the property owners requesting the rezoning are currently zoned RMF-24. A total of 88 contiguous parcels are requesting the rezoning and have signed the petition. The neighborhood proposes this rezoning in order to ensure that any potential future development will be compatible in land use, scale and mass within the context of the existing neighborhood. Staff is not recommending rezoning any of the parcels that objected to this request. DISCUSSION This item was heard at the regular Planning Commission meeting on August 28, 2006. Comments: BACKGROUND: Properly description: The subject properties are located west of Razorback Rd. south of Eighteenth St. and east of 1-540. This neighborhood was platted primarily with quarter acre lots and is single family in nature. All of the property owners requesting the rezoning are currently zoned RMF-24. A total of 88 contiguous parcels are requesting the rezoning and have signed the petition. Staff is not recommending rezoning any of the parcels that objected to this request. Proposal: The neighborhood proposes this rezoning in order to ensure that any potential future development will be compatible in land use, scale and mass within the context of the existing neighborhood.
