AN ORDINANCE •AMENDING TITLE XV: UNIFIED
DEVELOPMENT CODE, TO REMOVE ALL REFERENCES
TO GENERAL PLAN 2020.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1 . That the term "General Plan 2020" is hereby stricken from the entirety
of Title XV, Unified Development Code, and replaced with the term "Comprehensive
Land Use Plan."

Subject: Unified Development Code References to General Plan 2020 Changed to
Comprehensive Land Use Plan
RECOMMENDATION
Planning Staff recommends approval of an ordinance to amend the Unified Development
Code to replace references to the General Plan 2020 with Comprehensive Land Use Plan.
BACKGROUND
The City Council adopted City Plan 2025 as the comprehensive land use plan for the City
of Fayetteville on July 17, 2006 through Resolution No. 123-06. City Plan 2025 serves as
the in-depth update to General Plan 2020.
DISCUSSION
The Unified Development Code contains numerous references to General Plan 2020.
These references should be changed to Comprehensive Land Use Plan, so that the
Unified Development Code will not need an amendment each time the City updates the
comprehensive land use plan.
