ORDINANCE NO. 4341
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 50: GARBAGE AND
TRASH, OF THE CODE OF FAYETTEVILLE, TO AMEND
DEFINITIONS; AND TO AMEND THE SERVICE REQUIREMENTS
PERTAINING TO RESIDENTIAL YARD WASTE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1 . That §50.01 : Definitions, Code of Fayetteville is hereby amended to
add:
Biodegradable Bag. A bag capable of being decomposed by natural
micro-organic processes, to be used for the disposal of yard waste; and having a capacity
of no more than fifty (50) gallons.
Section 2. That §50.01 : Definitions, Code of Fayetteville is hereby amended to
delete the definition of Disposable Bag.
Section 3. That §50.20(C) Yard Waste, Code of Fayetteville is hereby deleted and
the following shall be inserted in its stead:
§50.20 Service Requirements.
C. Yard Waste. Only biodegradable bags, as defined herein,
shall be acceptable for the disposal of yard waste.
