AN ORDINANCE ALLOWING TYSON FOODS TO USE
FIREWORKS FOR THE SINGULAR OCCASION OF THE
CELEBRATION OF THE COMPANY'S 65TH ANNIVERSARY.
!'WHEREAS, Fayetteville Code of Ordinances §94.04, Sale and Use of Fireworks, allows
the use of fireworks within the City only on certain dates in July; and,
WHEREAS, Tyson Foods in Northwest Arkansas wishes to celebrate the company's 65th
anniversary at the Washington County Fairgrounds on July 29th, 2000, with a fireworks display; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Fayetteville wishes to join with Tyson Foods in the celebration of
the company's 65th anniversary and allow fireworks in a safe and proper manner to commemorate
that event.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1 . That §94.04 of the Code of Fayetteville, Sale and Use of Fireworks, is hereby
amended for the singular occasion of the celebration of the 65th anniversary of Tyson Foods and the
use of fireworks by Tyson Foods at the Washington County Fairgrounds on Saturday July 29th,
2000, is hereby allowed between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 11 :00 p.m.
