AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS OF
COMPETITIVE BIDDING FOR PARKING METER
REPLACEMENTS AND APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF
PARKING METERS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS :
Sectio-1. That the City Council hereby waives the requirements of competitive bidding for
parking meter replacements purchased during the year 1998. Said competitive bidding requirements
are not feasible or practical because the City currently uses Duncan Eagle electronic parking meters
and efficient operations requires compatibility of replacement parts, software, meter programming
features and training.
Section 2. That the City Council hereby approves the purchase of replacement parking
meters from Duncan Industries in an amount not to exceed $43,815.
