AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING NEW WARD
BOUNDARIES WITHIN THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, A.C.A.§ 14-43-311 states: " (a)(1 )(A) City councils in cities of the first class
shall have the authority to redistrict the wards in their city when they determine that thQ:poaple cane
best be served by adding wards, combining wards, or changing ward boundary lines,to QqullizeOO

WHEREAS, A.C.A. § 14-43-311 further states: " (B) It shall be the duty of the;council ton

WHEREAS, recent census data shows that inequalities exist in populatiori�w;'hui the
present four ward boundaries.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1 . That the City Council hereby divides into new wards and each ward shall
include all that part of the city lying within the boundary lines established on the Ward Boundary
Map attached hereto marked Exhibit A and made a part hereof.
