AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS OF
COMPETITIVE BIDDING FOR PARKING METER
REPLACEMENTS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That the City Council hereby waives the requirements of competitive
bidding for parking meter replacements for the reason that said requirements are not feasible
or practical because the City currently uses 59 Duncan Eagle electronic parking meters and
efficient operations requires compatibility of replacement parts, software, meter programming
features and training.
Section 2. That the City Council hereby approves the purchase of replacement
parking meters and maintenance software from Duncan Industries in an amount not to exceed
$47,000.
