AN ORDINANCE REPEALING §30.40(A)(1 ) OF THE CODE
OF FAYETTEVILLE AND ESTABLISHING NEW
RESIDENTIAL GARBAGE SERVICE RATES; REPEALING
§50.40(B)(1 ) OF THE CODE OF FAYETTEVILLE AND
ESTABLISHING NEW COMMERCIAL GARBAGE SERVICE
RATES; REPEALING §50.40(B)(4) OF THE CODE OF
FAYETTEVILLE AND ESTABLISHING NEW EXTRA
COLLECTION OF COMMERCIAL GARBAGE RATES;
REPEALING §50.40(C) OF THE CODE OF FAYETTEVILLE
AND ESTABLISHING NEW LOADALL TYPE CONTAINER
GARBAGE SERVICE RATES; AND REPEALING §50.40(D)
OF THE CODE OF FAYETTEVILLE WHICH LEVIED
ADDITIONAL RATES TO RETIRE THE INCINERATOR
PROJECT BONDS .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1 . That §50.40(A)(1) of the Code of Fayetteville is hereby repealed and is
replaced with the following:
§50.40 Rates for Services.
(A) Residential Service.
( 1 ) Collecting, hauling and disposing of garbage shall be
provided one time each week. Single family dwellings or each multifamily
dwelling unit rates shall be:
1997 $8 . 50 per month for two cans.
Said cans shall not exceed 32
gallons each.
1998 $8 .75 per month for two cans.
Said cans shall not exceed 32
gallons each.
1999 and each
year hereafter $9.25 per month for two cans.
Said cans shall not exceed 32
gallons each.

Section 2 . That §50.40(B)(1 ) of the Code of Fayetteville is hereby repealed and is
replaced with the following:

(B) Commercial Service.
( 1 ) The monthly commercial rate for commercial 95 gallon cart
customers shall be:

Section 3 . That §50.40(B)(4) of the Code of Fayetteville is hereby repealed and
replaced with the following:
§50.40 Rates for Service.
(B) Commercial Service.
(4) The rate for providing extra collection of any 95 gallon cart
shall be twice the monthly collection rate based on the number of collections per
week as established by §50.40(6)( 1 ) . The rate for providing extra collection of
any commercial loadall type container shall be $7 .20 per cubic yard.
Section 4. That §50.40(C) of the Code of Fayetteville is hereby repealed and
replaced with the following:
§50.40 Rates for Service.
(C) Loadall type container service. The monthly rate for one pickup
each week of the month for any commercial establishment using loadall type
containers for collection of garbage shall be $15 .60 per cubic yard collected.
The monthly rate for one pickup each week of the month for any commercial
establishment using loadall type containers for collection of garbage shall be
increased in the year 2000 and each year thereafter, to $16. 38 per cubic yard
collected.

Section 5 . That §50.40(D) of the Code of Fayetteville which levied additional rates
to retire the incinerator bonds is hereby repealed in its entirety.
