ORDINANCE NO. 3 9 ,94
AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS OF
FORMAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING FOR PLAYGROUND
EQUIPMENT FOR JEFFERSON PARK/SCHOOL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That the City Council hereby waives the requirements of formal
competitive bidding for playground equipment for Jefferson Park/School. The Jefferson
Elementary Student Council and the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board agreed to a joint
project for the purchase of playground equipment to serve both Jefferson Elementary School
and the adjoining park. The Fayetteville Public School moved forward under the school's
purchasing policies and procedures for the purchase of the playground equipment. It would not
be feasible or practical to rebid the project under the City's purchasing policies and procedures
as the equipment has already been ordered and received.
