ORDINANCE NO. 3847
AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING
APPROXIMATELY 375 FEET OF A NORTH-SOUTH ALLEY
LOCATED NORTH OF 11TH STREET, BETWEEN SCHOOL
AND LOCUST AS REQUESTED BY JOHN AND FRANCES
REED.
WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority under A.C.A . § 14-54- 104 to vacate
portions of streets and alleys which are not required for corporate purposes and,
WHEREAS , the City Council has determined that approximately 375 feet of a north-
south alley located north of 11th street, between School and Locust is not required for corporate
purposes.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That the City Council hereby vacates and abandons approximately 375
feet of a north-south alley located north of 11th street, between School and Locust, subject to
the reservation of a twenty foot utility easement running ten feet on either side of an existing
sewer line. Such property is more fully set forth in Exhibit "A " attached hereto and made a
part hereof.
Section 2 . A copy of this ordinance duly certified by the City Clerk shall be filed
in the office of the recorder of the county and recorded in the deed records of the county .

of Fayetteville, Arkansas as designated on the revised plat of Blocks 5 and 6 in
said addition, recorded in the office of the Circuit Clerk and Ex-Officio
Recorder of Washington County, Arkansas.
=NOTE: Ordinance No. 3332, passed and approved February 16, 1988 vacated
and abandoned the following:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 18 in Ferguson's
Addition to the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas as designated on
the revised plat of Blocks 5 and 6 in said Addition, recorded in
the Office of the Circuit Clerk and Ex-Officio Recorder of
Washington County, Arkansas, thence along the East property
lines of said, Lot 18 and Lots 17, 16, and 15 to a point 25 ' south
of the Northeast corner of Lot 15 in said Addition; thence East
12% thence North to a point 12' East of the point of beginning;
