HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 3765 , ORDINANCE NO. 3765 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 31 OF THE FAYETTEVILLE CODE OF ORDINANCES, TO ESTABLISH SALARY PROVISIONS FOR THE CITY ATTORNEY AND THE CITY CLERK. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS : Section 1 . That Chapter 31 , City Officials, Other City Employees, Section 31 .45 , City Attorney; City Prosecutor, and Section 31 . 30, City Clerk, shall be amended to add the following: Salary . a. Salary for a newly elected official is established at the minimum of the pay range determined by the most recent public sector survey conducted by the City . b. Upon re-election to the same position, the official shall retain their existing pay level . c. Annually at the first payroll period coincident with or first following January 1st, a pay adjustment will be made equal to the average percentage pay increase granted to regular full time non civil service City employees during the previous calendar year. d. Cumulative annual pay increases over time may not cause the salary level to exceed the salary range for the position without Council approval . Section 2 . All ordinances, sections and/or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed. PASSED AND APPROVED this 1st day of March 1994. APPROVED: By .
