HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 3764 t ORDINANCE NO. 3764 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION FOR THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 36591 TO BECOME EFFECTIVE JANUARY I , 1995 . BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS : Section 1 . That compensation for the Mayor shall be as follows : a. The base salary shall be set at a level that is 5 % greater than the average of the salaries of each Chief and the Department Directors reporting to the Mayor. b. The salary shall be adjusted one time per year, as provided above, at the payroll period conincident with or fust following January 1st. c. Termination and replacement of an employee in the positions designated above is not cause for a pay increase or decrease at the time of such action. d. An automobile allowance of $5 ,000.00 will be paid in equal installments each pay period in lieu of the City furnishing a car. Section 2 . Ordinance No. 3659, passed and approved December 1 , 1992, is hereby repealed. Section 3 . That Section 1 and Section 2 shall become effective January 1 , 1995 .
