ORDINANCE NO . 3544
AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS OF
COMPETITIVE BIDDING FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE
STARTALK VOICE MAIL SYSTEM ,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETPEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 , The Board of Directors hereby waives the
requirements of competitive bidding for the purchase of the
StarTalk Voice Mail System for the reason that said requirements
are not feasible or practical as such system is an enhancement to
the City ' s existing system which is serviced and programmed by
Centel Communications and the purchase would prevent the
difficulties of two separate vendors providing software programming
on the same system .
