FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS ) , WHOLESALE WATER AND
USAGE RATES RETROACTIVE TO AUGUST 1 , 1990 AND
ENDING JANUARY 1 , 1994 ,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That § 51 . 136 ( E ) of the Code of Fayetteville
( § 21 - 25 of the Code of Ordinances ) is hereby amended by amending
the schedule of monthly wholesale treated water rates outside city
limits to read as reflected in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made
a part hereof .
Section 2 , The Board of Directors hereby determines that
the provision of adequate water service is essential to the public
health , safety and welfare ; and that the immediate passage of this
ordinance is necessary for the City to generate sufficient revenues
to provide adequate water service . Therefore , an emergency is
hereby declared to exist and this ordinance be necessary for the
public health , safety and welfare should be in full force and
effect upon passage and approval .
