AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS OF
COMPETITIVE BIDDING AND AWARDING A CONTRACT
FOR RENOVATION WORK TO THE SEWER LIFT STATIONS
WITH CH2M HILL / OMI .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS : '
Section 1 . The Board df Directors hereby waives the
requirements of competitive . bidding for renovation work to the
sewer lift stations for the -.reasbn that said requirements are not
practical as OMI •has . an operating and maintenance contract for the
sewer lift stations . The necessary repairs have been identified
by OMI and it is in the best .O ,interest of the Citv to have OMI
perform the renovations . r. Y,,
Section 2 . The Bo'a'rd >%,;of Directors hereby determines that
V the immediate renovations ,to„ the sewer lift station is necessary
for the City to provide :eff ient public works services and that
v the provision of effici'ent ;p4blic works services is essential to
the public health , safetv . and welfare . Therefore , an emergency is
hereby declared to exi-st. . and • this ordinance being necessary for
the public health , safety "and welfare shall be in full force and
