AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS OF
COMPETITIVE BIDDING FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO
USED VEHICLES FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
UNDERCOVER DRUG ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYF.TTEVIIJ E , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . The Board of Directors hereby waives the
requirements of competitive bidding for purchase of two used
vehicles for the Police Department ' s Drug Enforcement Program for
the reason that said requirements are not practical as used car
lots will not hold _ , cars for purchase for the amount of time that
1� is required by the bid process .

Section 2 . The Board of Directors hereby determines that
therefore , an emergency . is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance being necessary . for the public health , safety and
�U; welfare shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval. . . :,
